Fitness Together’s “HolidayFit Emergency Kit” Helps
Cohasset Residents Get Through the Holidays Without Gaining Weight
On Wednesday, December 9th from 10am – 4pm, Fitness Together in Norwell and Cohasset are giving out free HolidayFit Emergency Kits to help people manage their weight and enjoy the holiday season without guilt. The kit includes tips on how to make healthy holiday food choices, examples of simple at-home workouts, and creative power recipes to enhance any exercise program.
“Many people complain that the extra sugar and fat from holiday treats, drinks, and meals makes them feel bloated and exhausted”, says Michael Cardoza, Fitness Together’s VP Operations. “It’s not uncommon for someone to gain 1 pound a week between Thanksgiving and New Years. The problem is, what we gain over the holidays tends to stay on long after the New Year. By offering healthy recipes and exercise tips, we can help people manage their weight and enjoy the holiday season without feeling guilty.”
